Movie: The Curious Case of Benjamin Button


"I was born under unusual circumstances." And so begins "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," adapted from the 1920s story by F. Scott Fitzgerald about a man who is born in his eighties and ages backwards. A man, like any of us, who is unable to stop time. We follow his story set in New Orleans from the end of World War I in 1918, into the 21st century, following his journey that is as unusual as any man's life can be - a grand tale of a not-so-ordinary man and the people and places he discovers along the way, the loves he finds, the joys of life and the sadness of death, and what lasts beyond time.

Movie: Changeling


The prayers of Christine Collins are met when her kidnapped son is returned - but amidst the frenzy of the photo-op reunion, she realises the child is not hers. Facing corrupt police and a sceptical public, she desperately hunts for answers, only to be confronted by the shocking truth that will change her forever. This movie is inspired by true events that took place in 1920s Los Angeles.

Movie: Passengers


After a plane crash, a young therapist, Claire (Anne Hathaway) is assigned by her mentor (Andre Braugher) to counsel the flight's five survivors and share their recollections of the incident, which some say include an explosion that the airline claims never happened. Claire is intrigued by Eric (Patrick Wilson), the most secretive of the passengers. Just as Claire's professional relationship with Eric blossoms into romance, the survivors begin to disappear mysteriously, one by one. Claire suspects that Eric may hold all the answers and is determined to uncover the truth.

Movie: Revolutionary Road


Set in 1955, the story centres on both hopes and aspiration of Frank (DiCaprio) and April Wheeler (Winslet), a self-assured couple who see themselves different from the rest of the Revolutionary Hill Estates' neighbours. April, an aspiring actress who desire to move to Paris, while Frank work away all the hours at a corporate company, which he despises by drinking and having an affair. In the end, the couple's marriage slowly falls into pieces, fuelled by never ending cycles of arguments and jealousy.

Movie: Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa


When New York Zoo Animals Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Melman the Giraffe and Gloria the Hippo finally leave Madagascar, they find themselves instead stuck in the wilderness of Africa. There, Alex connects with his roots when he meets the rest of his family, but has trouble communicating with them after spending most of his life at the Central Park Zoo.

Movie: Transporter 3


Jason Statham returns as hardman Frank Martin, an ex-Special Force agent where his duty includes delivering packages without questioning. In this third instalment, Frank who has just relocated to Paris, awakes to find himself with a bomb strapped to his wrist - one which threatens to blow up should he try to remove it.

Movie: Seven Pounds


Ben Thomas (Will Smith) is an IRS agent who is depressed and guilt-ridden about the mistakes from his past. He then sets out to make amends by helping seven strangers. When he meets Emily (Rosario Dawson), a beautiful woman with a heart condition, he falls in love with her, thereby complicating his plans. Woody Harrelson also appears as a blind pianist who befriends Ben.

Movie: IP Man (叶问)



Adapted from the life story of Ip Man - the grand master of the Wing Chun style of kung fu and sifu of legendary kung fu superstar Bruce Lee. This movie will be the first important record of the master's life. Ip's persistent devotion to Wing Chun is a classic example of the love and respect shown to wushu and the freedom and spirit it represents. Ip Man is a concept, a spirit, a way of thinking - and it exemplifies a new peak in Hong Kong's wushu movies.
